ATTENTION NOTICE
University Documentaries has been officially suspended since June 2024.
However, it stopped producing documentaries since 2020.
The documentaries had been produced under the brand Filmandocs, a documentary production company.
Filmandocs continues to produce documentaries about Design and Architecture, but now only for distribution on Designers Channel.
The difference between University Documentaries and Designers Channel is that the production criteria are different because they are no longer directed exclusively at the educational sector, but are now intended for a general audience: students, design professionals and the interested public, and also the consideration of the viewer goes from the Mexican to the international sphere.
GENERAL REPORT
Of the documentaries produced, the first 4 were acquired in DVD format at 17 Mexican universities and are found in their libraries. No permission was given to duplicate them or to integrate them into the internal video networks of any institution:

The projects that followed them; The Creativity and Business series and the Collections series were offered over the Internet on this website through access controlled by Password.
CLARIFICATION
This project never had external financing of any kind. No educational institution, neither governmental nor private, neither in Mexico nor abroad. All financing was 100% internal, carried out by its director Miguel Méndez Díaz.
Nor has it had associations, agreements or anything similar with researchers or university research groups or private companies.
Nor has it granted distribution licenses with any company or educational institution, either in Mexico or abroad.
Anyone who assumes they have, or have had, participation in the production or creation of the University Documentaries project is lying. As well as anyone who claims to have distribution rights over these documentaries since no concessions have been given to any particular person or institution.
And anyone who intends or has attempted to obtain financing for this project is lying and possibly committing a crime.
Documentary production on Design and Architecture will continue to be produced by Filmandocs for Designers Channel and will be distributed solely and exclusively through www.designerschannel.com and nowhere else.
